We are Grand Island Candle Company. Our candles are inspired by Western New York, the moments and memories; lifestyle and mood. We hand blend and pour all of our candles in small batches in our Grand Island candle studio using sustainably grown soy wax derived from American-grown soy beans and phthalate-free perfume oils infused with essential oils. We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship, ethical production, accessible prices, and presentation.

About Us
Joshua Thomas
founder
Joshua Thomas is an artist and designer who founded Grand island Candle Company in 2020, perfecting the craft of candle making while self-isolating during the pandemic. Josh hails from Western Montana and earned a Masters of Fine Arts at the Savannah College of Art and Design before moving to Western New York to be closer to family.
Josh is inspired by nature, travel, and design, but most of all he is inspired by Western New York; the people, places, smells and attitude that make Western New York so uniquely special.
Each candle is made by Josh at the Grand Island Candle Company studio in Grand Island, New York in small batches using only the best and most eco-friendly materials.
